"Trust in him at all times, oh people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us." - Psalm 62:8

Platte Valley YFC not only seeks to lead youth to Jesus Christ, but to keep them safe as we connect and engage. As we adjust the way we are reaching out to the kids we are in relationship with, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we know and trust that God will use our circumstances for good, and that He has given us the wisdom to navigate these times. In all things, may we be strong and courageous. May we not be afraid or terrified. May we remember the Lord goes with us and he will never forsake us. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

YFC is committed to being ambassadors of peace, trust, confidence, security, and most importantly, hope. We know in Whom we put our hope. For a watching world, we want to encourage. For all of us already involved with YFC, we want to be equipped to be a part of the solution during this time. Every aspect of YFC ministry will continue, and we remain secure in the Lord and his everlasting peace—on mission and always about the message of Jesus.
YFC will always be here for kids, ages 11-19. And to do so in this critical time, we recognize there are a range of impacts affecting our ability to minister. Our theme during this season is replace, not cancel. Our response is innovation in the ways we reach youth, through technology and other means. Together, we are creating resources that will allow us to reach kids during this challenging time.

We are making the following changes to enhance our ministry when necessary:

  • Our staff teams are creating ways to connect with kids using social media and following all protocols for in-person meetings
  • All staff and board meetings are on schedule utilizing Zoom meetings online
  • Our office is open for limited numbers/contact and requires masks for entry
  • Staff who are able to effectively work from home are doing so
  • Donations can be mailed to: YFC, PO Box 386, Hastings, NE 68902

We are committed to using only trusted sources for information to avoid spreading gossip and confusion. We trust our local health professionals and National YFC Office to help us make wise decisions. We will trust in God at all times for everything we need. Thank you for your support and prayers during this season!
